This week Twitter and Flipboard apps for iOS and Android received updates bringing in new features. Lets have a look at them.
Twitter
This week, Twitter app for iOS and Android both has been updated and has received new interface and features. Now both Android and iOS users can swipe a tweet in their home timeline to reply, retweet, favorite, share it or view the Twitter user's profile, without leaving your timeline.
When you use "Find friends", twitter now prompts a notification that will allow you to quickly find which of your friends are on Twitter, when you upload your contact's email addresses and phone numbers.
Twitter for Android is now optimized to run on Android devices running on Ice Cream Sandwich as well.

Flipboard
Flipboard app new update brings together world news and social news in a magazine designed for your Android phone and tablet. The new update for Android brings new function for devices that support hover. Users will be able to hover over a tile to preview article headlines. Users can now create a Flipboard account using Facebook.

You can now collect and save content into your own magazines, tap the new "+" button to get started.
If you prefer to remove the "+" button, you can turn it Off in Settings. Your magazines are public, but can be made private (viewable only to you) at any time. Use the new bookmarklet to add items to your magazines from your browser. Get it at https://share.flipboard.com.
Get Flipboard notifications when people like, comment or subscribe to your magazines. Email whole magazines or share them to your social network. Of course, you can still share or email any single article, photo or video.
YouTube
The YouTube app has also received a minor update for Andorid devices to version 4.4.11. The new features added to the application include quick access to new uploads from subscriptions, using the "My Subscriptions" feed, YouTube One Channel branding for video creator channels.

Further, the update has also fixed a bug which caused some accounts to periodically sign out along with other bug fixes and stability improvements

WhatsApp
In a recent development, WhatsApp has Android app has also received a prominent update. Where, the app has got a new design, look and feel including the new messages layout, users can view the images conveniently right on the message screen, without having to go full screen.
Further, the update has also brought changes with the integration of the Holo UI, changes in menus and settings, chat menu and smiley key.

Angry Birds Star War Cloud City
Angry Birds Star War Cloud City which was awaited till now has been updated recently and is now available as free version, as well as the paid (HD) version download.
After updating, Angry Birds Star Wars players will be able to experience the Could City in the new episodes along with 20 new levels of game play.
Rovio has claimed that the game publisher has included steam gameplay mechanics and a chance to flaunt the trophy collection on Twitter.
