Turns out Acer isn’t the only one Chrome OS partner to release Chromebook in the Indian market, HP is also joining the mix. According to a blog post by Google India today, the HP Chromebook 14 will be released in the country on October 17 alongside Acer C720 for INR 26,990.
HP Chromebook 14 was originally announced at recently held Intel Developer Forum and features a 14-inch 1366x768p WLED BrightView display, Intel Celeron 2955U processor based on Haswell micro-architecture, 4GB of RAM, 16GB SSD storage, Wi-Fi, an HDMI port, memory card slot, one USB 2.0, and one USB 3.0 port.
“Chromebooks are a new type of computer from Google designed to help you get things done faster and easier. They run Chrome OS, an operating system that has multiple layers of security, cloud storage, and the most popular Google products built-in. Designed to make computing faster, simpler and more secure for everyone, Chromebooks have become the go-to laptop for many people around the world,” Google noted in the blog post.
In terms of the goodies, HP Chromebook 14 comes with 100GB of free Google Drive storage for two years. It will be available from select Reliance Digital and Croma stores in Delhi and Mumbai from October 17. You can also pre-order it from Flipkart today.
